The Create Dunwoody Storefront Art Exhibit brings the creativity of Dunwoody High School students to life by transforming local business windows into vibrant art displays. Located throughout the Greater Dunwoody Village area, this temporary exhibit highlights young talent and brings visitors to the businesses.

Artist: Angel Cruz Artwork: Soccer Piece To improve my art life and skills. And to continue my goal, and to stop my distractions.

Artist: Ava Delfino Artwork: Spring Forward An homage to the upcoming season. The weekend this project is being submitted, our clocks will jump forward, and Spring is just on the horizon. Me adding more unnatural appearing elements growing from some of the flowers in the piece was on purpose. When you move forward in life, you grow in ways you would never expect, and I believe that entering this upcoming season we should embrace the unnatural because it looks just as beautiful.

Artist: Bramley Gordon My art shows how people look perfect one day and the next something is going on and they look “dead” in a way but no one notices. I represented this by showing a tree change you don’t really notice the trees changing from perfect and pretty to dead.

Artist: Chantal Rosas Artwork: Stormy Sakura Sakura, also known as cherry blossoms, are known as a beautiful flower and we stop just to admire it. Although it is beautiful we don’t know what it has truly been through. I want to show although it is beautiful on the outside, it is also messed up. The meaning of the black on the flower represents that it is damaged because a cherry blossom is usually white and pink.

Artist: Eli Cronin Artwork: Pop of Color I feel the storefront art exhibit is a great way for me to experience being an artist in a new light. I enjoy making my own creations and aspire to be good enough for other people to enjoy it as well.

Artist: Elizabeth (Ellie) Lubin Artwork: Underwater Purr-suit I am passionate about art and giving back to my community. Having lived in Dunwoody for most of my life, I take pride in contributing to its creative spirit. My goal is to create art that brings joy and inspires those who see it, as my day has always been brightened by seeing these electrical boxes around town.

Artist: Estela Morales-Ramos Artwork: Dolphin At Sea As many say, be who you are. This artwork emphasizes the importance of being yourself, therefore in a sea of fish be the dolphin.

Artist: Fiona Rusert Artwork: Bright days - this piece of art is very bright and can bring a good vibe to Dunwoody

Artist: Gabby Burnley Artwork: A Fun Day I want to be selected for this Storefront Art Exhibit because when I see the art in Dunwoody it truly makes me happy, and I want my artwork to be the reason someone’s happy.

Artist: Katie Miller Artwork: Saturday Morning My painting features two cups of coffee, a croissant, and newspaper, specifically the Atlanta Journal Constitution and the Dunwoody Crier. I decided to paint this specific design because coffee has always been special to me and my family. My family always makes an effort to try local coffee shops in any town we visit, and I also currently work at Summit Coffee. I was inspired by the average order at Summit and the latte art I’ve learned to create at the cafe. Similarly, I wanted to paint a piece that I feel was representative of the Dunwoody community as well as myself. In the recent years, I’ve seen a growing support for and a trend in local coffee shops around Dunwoody. My painting highlights the trend and routine of many coffee drinkers.

Artist: Lila Gutierrez Artwork: The Promise When I was younger my best friend and I would climb a specific tree in my yard. In this tree we made a promise to be best friends forever. This artwork is a reflection of my relationship with her and a reflection of my childhood.

Artist: Monserrat Mora Hernandez Artwork: Folklore I hope that having my art out to the community where it can be admired by those who get intrigued. Bright and colorful patterns plus a touch of culture added to the mix can bring out a smile.

Artist: Olivia Banister Artwork: Working Overtime The bees, especially bumble bees, are often overlooked or seen as an inconvenience for people walking or on picnics. What many don’t know is that without these little pollinators all the gorgeous flowers that humans have come to love would no longer exist. Working Overtime describes the bees’ long journey day in and day out to pollinate the flowers that humans love so much with little to no appreciation.

Artist: Sofia Perez Artwork: Blue Goldfish Inspired pattern by the famous Brazilian artist Brito. Goldfish are supposed to add a pop of marine life and color to the artwork.

Artist: Sophia Mei Artwork: Quacking for Joy It reflects my love of spring and summer, with the vibrant and warm feeling of those seasons. The vivid color used in this piece emphasizes the happy and playful environment of the painting, capturing the eye. My artwork illustrates a rubber duck in water surrounded by slices of grapefruit. The water has striped, blue patterns, providing it with an abstract look. The floating duck symbolizes happiness and positivity, which matches the aim of the "Funwoody" stores and businesses – to offer a cheerful and fun environment. My aim with this artwork is to make people smile and spread positivity. Though my work is simple, it's interpretative, encouraging people to discover their own delight in its bright and cheerful composition.
